Painted Guitar Amplifier

And it is painted with a little shaky hand... For it is first try with anything of the like for me so far...

I am never guite sure what people mean when they want me to "paint" something. Sometimes they seem to refer to the ink drawings instead. This time there was not too much time for me to meditate over the matter so I did what I could with the few days in hand and acrylic paints. The result is the kind of decorative and tatoo like... And not so much my oil paintings like :-)

ROMU guitar amplifiers are handmade in Estonia, designed and crafted by Kaido Kasak. More techical info about this amp can be found in Roots Art Store.

A Set of Three Furniture Drawings

Ever since I made myself Etsy store I have discovered this great new world of crafts and all the tiny little things people like myself enjoy creating so much. I have found so many new favorites and interacted with people around the globe. Seen how others show their work also makes me think about new angles as such seen on the picture.

It is a fact that when people buy my ink drawings they usually take more than one picture ;-). Even when I don't have any series available. These quite small drawings work very well as a group, and all my drawings can be combined with one another for they are similar style.

Yet it is nice to have some groups of drawings that actually share the same theme all over. I don't have that many of those... This Coffee Table Set with Two Chairs is one... Another one that pops to my mind is this recent Tea Set.

In my Etsy store I sell printed copies of my ink drawings. But sometimes the original artwork is also available - don't be affraid to ask!

Acrylic vs Oil

Sunbather / Päevitaja (2010)
55x34 cm

My dedicated readers probably know about my personal dilemma between acrylic and oil paints...

I have finally come to a conclusion that these two can't, and don't even have to be compared really... I made peace with the acrylics and even created a facebook gallery (where I will add new pictures soon) to feature my discoveries and improvements with acrylics. Yes - I plan to study them a bit more!

At the same time I have stared painting in oil again.

All I really needed was some extra space. A studio - where I can practice whatever pops into my mind... Instead of trying to find a medium that fits in my living room...

Of course the down side of having extra space is a bit of extra rent also :-)

Must sell stuff
...

Sometimes I really wish one didn't have to push so hard all the time...

A New Blog Of Mine

For a while I have played with the idea of having a jewellery blog in English, and now I can proudly confess that I have made the idea to come true.

I have had several thoughts about how it might be done. At first I thought that this blog might have occasional posts showing my handmade creations, but for some reason those posts remained very rare and didn't quite fit as well as I would have liked.

The other idea was to turn my old jewellery blog in Estonian into a bilingual blog. I have seen this kind of solution, and they are nice. But I myself fear that maybe it is too hard to translate my thoughts to another language right away.

Besides It is very different to post to old blog that already has readers I feel. When I post to my old jewellery blog I know who might be reading and can easily refer to older posts etc... While my new blog is supposedly going to have whole new audience - I hope at least :)

In this blog I will continue to show my art, and design and related subjects. But if it is jewellery you are after - please wisit my --
