Nude On The Pillow / 2013 / 21x29.7 cm
Sometimes all it takes is just a few lines... I have to keep on practicing though. I think that perfect minimalism could be even a bit more minimal than this :-). And here's how it looks framed:

Materials: clay, ear hooks, wire, paints etc...
Purple marble patterned earrings

Blue marble earrings
For me - I just got a bit bored with polymer clay. I felt it is too plastic, and at some point it just didn't speak to me anymore... (Not that I haven't had some really good times with good old polymer!) Anyway, I wanted to try something different, so I tried out air drying clay. I used the same cutters and tools I had already acquired for polymer works, and tried, and experimented...
About the same time I found these marble paints from a local art store, and they seemed like fun too. Well - they ARE fun! Look at all these gorgeous patterns I have managed to get! I say that I got the patterns - because the technique is pretty uncontrollable - you get what you get, and it is usually wonderful! With smaller things - such as earrings are - sometimes not so wonderful - especially when they have to work as pairs... But still - I'd say this is one of my favorite things to do when I go to my studio. It usually brings smile to my face, and makes me feel good about myself.

Painting beads for my clay earrings
Yes. It makes my hands dirty. These beads are just enough small - one can't really paint them and not get a decent mess around. And all over... I have my doubts about beautiful, airy, and pastel perfect studios btw. I have no idea how they can stay clean and perfect for very long. I have been in mine for over a year now - and it does look like there has been painted in it. Just like our painting class used to be in fact. The place you can't really escape from without bringing some new spot on your clothes with you. But I have decided not to worry over what I don't have and be happy with what I can get - a place to keep my messy business in is just what I need :D
I keep my ready made jewelry at home in safe clean box though - just in case :-)

Kiss / 2008
Pretty cute little picture with black mount and thin black frame. I love it when people have their prints framed. When I made this listing to my online shop - all I had was the idea, but no physical product... I had this sketch:
I thought - it might give some idea of what I'm thinking, and maybe one day I see it actually framed like this. And surprise-surprise - so I did. Just when I had thought that there really is no point in offering framed artworks, and it is probably wiser to let all this type of listings expire quietly and never speak of them again... :-D
